OPTIMUM USE OF THE TELESCOPE
Asastronomicaltelescopeshavestrongmagnificationandasmallfieldofview,itisrelatively
difficult to find a specific star among many and follow its movement. The crucial point for
successfulobservationliesincorrecthandlingoftheastronomicaltelescope.
HANDLING
Handlethetelescopewithcare.Particularlywhencarryingthetelescopetube,ensurethatyou
donotstrikeitagainstanythingordropit.
CHECKING ASSEMBLY
Ifastaritdifficultto“catch”andwhenitisfinallyfound,sometimes,“dances”backandforthand
canbarelybeobserved,thisisoftenduetoatelescopethathasnotbeenassembledproperly.
1.Checkpreciselywhetherthelockingscrewsonthetripodlegsandthescrewsonthetripod
headaretightened.
2. Checkthebalanceofthetelescopetube,sothatthereisaweightbalancebetweenthefront
andbackend.
OBSERVATION SITE
Astheobservationofastartrequiresalongerperiodoftime,thetelescopeshouldbesetupat
awell-consideredsite.
1. Chooseafreelyaccessiblesite,whereaslittlelightfallsaspossibleandatwhichthelargest
possiblesectionofskyisvisible.
2.Placeparts,suchastheeyepieceeintheaccessorytray(N)orkeeptheseinasmallbox.
