Transferring calls using programmable keys
You can congure Quick Dial or Busy Lamp Field programmable keys to transfer
an active call.
By default, pressing a Quick Dial or Busy Lamp eld key during an active call will
start a new call. You can congure two transfer options for programmable keys:
blind transfer or attended transfer. See “User Preferences” on page 81.
To transfer a call using a programmable key:
During a call, press a Quick Dial or Busy Lamp Field programmable key for
the number to which you want to transfer the call.
If the key is congured for attended transfer, your phone dials the number
programmed for the Quick Dial or Busy Lamp Field key.
When the second caller answers, you can talk to the caller to notify them of
the transfer, and then press
Transf
to transfer the call.

Call transferred.
If the key is congured for blind transfer, the call is immediately transferred
to the number programmed for the Quick Dial or Busy Lamp Field key.
The Call transferred screen appears, and your phone returns to idle mode.
If the blind transfer fails, then the transferred call will ring your phone back.
