Conguring the Phone
To manually set the Year, Month, Day, Hour and Minute:
1. From the Date & Time menu, press q to highlight Set manually.
2. Press SELECT.
Note: If the NTP server is enabled, you cannot modify this setting. See “To
enable or disable the NTP (Network Time Protocol) server:” on page 59.
3. For each setting, press t or u to select the desired setting, and then press
q to move to the next line.
4. When you have nished, press
Save
.
Setting the Key Unlock PIN
If you are authorized to do so, you can set the PIN to unlock the phone. The
Phone Lock feature restricts certain hard keys and features unless you enter a
PIN. There are three escalating modes of lockout:
Restricted Cong locks out the menu and voicemail.
Restricted Call locks out all advanced calling features in addition to the menu
and voicemail. The phone operates only in single call, single account mode.
Emergency Call Only locks out all outgoing calls except emergency calls.
Incoming calls are allowed in all modes. If your phone is locked unnecessarily,
see your system administrator.
To change the Unlock PIN:
1. From the Preferences menu, press q to highlight Set Key Unlock PIN, and
then press SELECT.
The Set Key Unlock PIN menu appears.
2. With current PIN highlighted, press
Edit
.
3. Enter the current PIN and then press q .
4. Enter the new PIN and then press q .
5. Re-enter the new PIN and then press
Save
.
Hiding In-Call Digits
You can enable the phone to show or hide any additional digits (PIN numbers
and pass codes, for example) that you enter during a call. By default, in-call digits
are shown.
To show or hide in-call digits:
1. From the Preferences menu, press q to highlight Hide In-Call Digits, and
then press SELECT.
The Hide in-call digits menu appears.
2. Press t or u to select Shown or Hidden.
3. Press
Save
