Dial pad and audio keys
Programmable keys
The table below lists the default settings for the programmable keys. The key
assignments on your phone may be different. Ask your system administrator
about your phone’s programmable key conguration. For the complete list of
programmable key options, see “Programmable Feature Keys” on page 72.

* Your system administrator can assign more than one key to a line. For example, you might
be able to activate Line 1 with keys 1 and 2, and Line 2 with keys 3 and 4. Consult your
administrator regarding your phone’s line conguration.
Dial pad
Use to dial numbers and
enter text. For a list of special
characters you can enter with
the dial pad, see page 88.
MUTE
During a call, press to prevent
your voice from being heard.
VOLUME
• During a call, press to adjust the
listening volume.
• During message playback, press
to adjust the playback volume.
• When the phone is idle, press to
adjust the ringer volume.
HEADSET
When a headset is
connected to the deskset,
press to make, answer, or
hang up a call.
