GETTING STARTED

Charging the BATTERY:

Your COMMUNICATOR comes with an DESKTOP CHARGER to charge your Ni-MH

BATTERY PACK (included). To charge the BATTERY:

1. Connect the A/C ADAPTER into the DESKTOP CHARGER.

2. Connect the A/C ADAPTER into an A/C wall outlet.

3. Insert the COMMUNICATOR into the DESKTOP CHARGER. The corresponding LED

of the DESKTOP CHARGER will be lit to indicate charging. During charging, the LOW

BATTERY LEVEL icon will disappear once the BATTERY is fully charged.

NOTE: The DESKTOP CHARGER can charge 2 COMMUNICATORS and 2 spare

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACKS simultaneously. Charge the BATTERY for

approximately 12 hours before initial use.

NOTE

The COMMUNICATOR comes with internal battery protection; however, during

long-term storage, it is strongly recommended that you recharge the BATTERY every 6

months or remove the BATTERY if the unit will not be used for a long period of time.
