- NOTE: The KP3X have internal battery protection, however during long term storage it is strongly recommended that you recharge the battery every 6 months or remove the battery if the unit will not be used for a long period of time.

To attach and detach the strap from the unit, do the following:
1. Adjust the strap according to your preference by inserting the Metal Studs of the strap to the appropriate hole.
2. Detach the strap from the Communicator by pressing the Lock Button found at the top of the unit.
3. Attach the strap to the unit by simply inserting the end of the strap into the slot until it locks (clicks).
Your KP3X Communicator uses Lithium-Ion Battery (included) to power. To install the battery:
1. Release the Battery Compartment Cover Latch located on the rear side of the unit, and remove the Battery
Compartment Cover from the Battery Compartment.
2. Install the Lithium-Ion Battery into the Battery Compartment. Be certain to follow the correct battery orientation in the
compartment. Installing the batteries incorrectly will prevent the unit from operating.
3. Replace the Battery Compartment Cover and lock the Battery Compartment Cover Latch into position.

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or personal injury, use only the battery listed in the instruction book.
The KP3X has a built in Power Saver feature for maximum battery life. But when the KP3X
is not being used, conserve battery power by pressing the Power Key to OFF.
Remove the battery if the unit will not be used for a long period of time.
