After ingesting the M2A Capsule, the patient should
immediately contact the physician’s office if he/she has
any abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting.
After ingesting the M2A Capsule and until it is
excreted, the patient should not be near any source of
powerful electromagnetic fields such as one created near
an MRI device
During the examination, the patient should avoid any
strenuous physical activity. He/she should not bend or
stoop during the Capsule Endoscopy.
During the examination, the patient should check every
15 minutes that the green light at the top of the Data
Recorder is blinking. If it stops blinking during the first 6
hours of the examination, the patient should write down
the time and contact the physician’s office.
During the examination, the patient should not remove
the Data Recorder belt.
In the Event Form, the patient should write down the time
and the nature of any event such as eating, drinking and
unusual sensations. The patient will have to return this
form along with the examination set.
Note:
Before the patient leaves the clinic, you should give the patient
the Event Form along with a copy of the
Patient Instructions for
Undergoing Capsule Endoscopy
