Expansion joints are important for showers. There must be a
clean, straight, open joint (1/8”-1/4”) at all changes in plane
which include inside corners, floor to wall, wall to ceiling, and
columns.

recommended to fill expansion joints or changes in surface plane.
Sealing the tile grout helps repel moisture and dirt for easier
cleaning and maintenance.
Establish a Layout using either grid paper or using a chalk line, so the layout
design meets each end of the install area squarely, or in the desired pattern.
Preparing the installation surface to accept new tile by ensuring the surface
is clean, uniform and level. Avoid installing over pre-existing floor coverings.
Tile Wedges and clamps ensure the tile is evenly level with the surrounding
tile pieces, it is important to consider the width of the wedge or clamp to
accommodate the desired grout spacing.
Waterproofing is recommended to use for bathroom floors, as it is common
for water to collect after shower use, tile grout is not 100% watertight.
Grout and Tile Sealer is not required but will help in repelling dirt and
moisture, making for easier cleaning and maintenance.
Sanded Grout is recommended for use with porcelain tile, it is generally
more durable and stable for use with wider grout lines 1/8”or greater.
