6.8 Delete Channel
Deletes the active channel. The channel below the deleted channel will become the
active channel. You cannot delete the standard Red, Green, or Blue channels. This is
the equivalent of clicking the icon.
6.9 Edit Channel Attributes
Allows you to alter the name, color and fill opacity of the channel.
The fill opacity is useful for setting how visible the underlying image is when you
work with a channel that will later be converted to a selection. The advanced user will
also use it to “control” ink opacity when he works with things like duotones.
