Transferring an entry/phonebook to another handset
Prerequisites:
u The sending and receiving handsets must both be registered to the same base.
u The other handset and the base can send and receive phonebook entries.
You can transfer the entire phonebook, an individual entry or several individual entries.
Transferring individual entries
¤ Open phonebook. ¤ q Select desired entry. ¤ Options ¤ q Copy Entry ¤ OK ¤ q to
Internal
¤ OK ¤ q Select the recipient handset. ¤ OK
After a successful transfer:
¤ Press Ye s if you want to send another entry. Otherwise press No.
Transferring the entire phonebook
¤ Open phonebook. ¤ q Select desired entry. ¤ Options
¤ q Copy List ¤ OK ¤ q to Internal ¤ OK ¤ q Select the recipient handset. ¤ OK
Transferring a displayed number to the phonebook
You can add numbers to the phonebook:
u From a list e.g. the call list or the redial list
u From a public online directory or the Yellow Pages
u From your private online directory
u When dialling a number
The number is displayed or highlighted.
¤ Press the display key Ó or Options ¤ q Copy to Directory. ¤ OK
To create a new entry:
¤ <New Entry> ¤ OK ¤ r Select number type. ¤ OK
¤ Complete the entry. ¤ OK
To change an entry:
¤ q Select an entry. ¤ OK ¤ r Select number type. ¤ OK
The number is entered or an existing number is overwritten.
¤ Answer prompt with Yes /No.
¤ Save
Notes
u An external call interrupts the transfer.
u Caller pictures and sounds are not transferred. Only the date is transferred for an
anniversary.
u When transferring an entry between two vCard handsets:
If the recipient does not yet have an entry with that name, a new entry is created.
If there is already an entry with that name, this entry is expanded with the new numbers.
If the entry contains more numbers than allowed by the recipient, a second entry is
created with the same name.
u If the recipient is not a vCard handset: A separate entry is created and sent for each
number.
u Your handset receives entries from a non-vCard handset: Entries with numbers that are
already stored are discarded, otherwise a new entry is created.
