Adjusting the telephone settings
Activating/deactivating advisory tones
Your handset uses advisory tones to tell you about different activities and statuses. These
advisory tones can be activated/deactivated independently of each other.

Key Tones: r On / Off
Tone when keys are pressed.
Confirmation: r On / Off
Confirmation/error tone after making entries, advisory tone when a new message has been
received.
Battery: r On / Off
Warning tone when there are fewer than 10 minutes of talktime remaining (every
60 seconds). There is no battery warning when the baby monitor is activated.

Activating/deactivating music on hold
You can activate/deactivate music on hold for external calls during consultation and forwarding.

Resetting a handset to the default settings
You can reset any individual settings and changes that you have made.
The following settings are not affected by a reset
u Registering the handset to the base
u Date and time
u Directory entries, the call lists

Quick access to numbers and functions
u Number keys: The keys Q and 2 to O can be assigned to a number from the
phonebook.
u Display keys: The left and right display keys have a function preset by default, but the keys
can be re-assigned (

You can then dial the number or start the function by simply pressing a key.
