The FCC RF safety requirement
TheradiatedoutputpowerofthewirelessLANMiniPCICardandBluetoothcardisfarbelowtheFCC
radiofrequencyexposurelimits.Nevertheless,thenotebookPCseriesshallbeusedinsuchamannerthat
thepotentialforhumancontactduringnormaloperationisminimizedasfollows:
1.UsersarerequestedtofollowtheRFsafetyinstructionsonwirelessoptiondevicesthatareincludedin
theuser'smanualofeachRFoptiondevice.

Caution:TocomplywithFCCRFexposurecompliancerequirements,aseparationdistanceofatleast20
cm(8inches)mustbemaintainedbetweentheantennafortheintegratedwirelessLANMiniPCICardbuilt
intothescreensectionandallpersons.
Note:
ThewirelessMiniPCIadapterimplementsatransmissiondiversityfunction.Thefunctiondoesnotemit
radiofrequenciessimultaneouslyfrombothantennas.Oneoftheantennasisselectedautomaticallyor
manually(byusers)toensuregoodqualityradiocommunication.
2.Thisdeviceisrestrictedtoindooruseduetoitsoperationinthe5.15to5.25GHzfrequencyrange.
FCCrequiresthisproducttobeusedindoorsforthefrequencyrange5.15to5.25GHztoreducethe
potentialforharmfulinterferencetoco-channelMobileSatellitesystems.
3.Highpowerradarareallocatedasprimaryusersofthe5.25to5.35Hzand5.65to5.85GHzbands.
Theseradarstationscancauseinterferencewithand/ordamagethisdevice.
4.Animproperinstallationorunauthorizedusemaycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.
AlsoanytamperingoftheinternalantennawillvoidtheFCCcerticationandyourwarranty.
ThisdevicecomplieswithPart15oftheFCCRules.
Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:
(1)Thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference,and
(2)Thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycauseundesired
operation.
