Encryption Page
This page is the security configuration of the wireless connection. WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is a
data privacy mechanism based on a 64/128-bit shared key algorithm, as described in the IEEE 802.1x
standard. When the “Disable” is selected, there is no WEP encryption. When either “64bits” or “128bits” is
selected there is encrypted data transfer to prevent unauthorized users accessing the wireless network.
Authentication Type
The Authentication Type default is set to “Open system”.
* Open system
Allows any device to connect to the network, assuming the device’s SSID matches the access point’s
SSID.
