TOILET FLUSH VALVE REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Toilet manufacturer tank designs vary greatly. Consult manufacturers recommended

installation instructions specific to your toilet brand and model. The below information is

intended only as a guide.

1. DRAIN THE TOILET TANK.

1. Turn off the water at the shutoff valve and

2. REMOVE THE TOILET TANK.

1. Remove the toilet tank by loosening and removing tank bolt nuts from the

underside of the tank. Note Tank fastening systems may vary by

manufacturer.

2. Gently place the tank upside down on an old towel or rug.

3. Remove the tank to bowl gasket on the bottom of the tank.

3. REMOVE THE OLD FLUSH VALVE

1. Loosen and remove the flush valve (spud) nut with a spud wrench or slip

joint pliers

4. INSTALL A NEW FLUSH VALVE. 1. Insert new flush valve in opening at bottom of the tank. 2. Rotate flush valve position in tank, so re-fill water line can connect to overflow tube. Overflow tube should face fill valve. 3. Re-attach the spud nut on the bottom of the tank and tighten. 4. Ensure proper seal between toilet tank and flush valve gasket 5. Re-install or replace rubber tank to bowl gasket. Make sure the bevel side of the gasket will connect to the toilet bowl. 6.
