General To use the phone, you need to set up an account with a phone network service. The functions available to
you depend on the services offered by your phone network service provider and your type of subscription.
Your service provider provides you a SIM card. This card contains your digital cellular phone account
details. You must install the SIM card before you can make or receive phone calls or use wireless data
services.
7.1.1 Phone
Switching on/off The phone is switched on by default when you turn on the Zenius5. To switch off the phone without turning of the
Zenius5, do the following:
1) Tap the Windows button /Settings/Connections/Wireless Manager or
tap the title bar, the Connectivity icon in the drop-down list and select Wireless Manager.
The Wireless Manager screen opens.
2) Tap Phone to switch on the phone. Tap Phone again to turn off the phone.
Phone status icons The phone status icons are displayed in the status bar to indicate the status of phone functions.

Starting
the
phone
program
There are 3 possibilities to start the phone program:
• Press the Send key on the Zenius5 keypad.
• Tap the Phone icon on the Start screen.
• Tap the Windows button /Phone.
When the phone is switched on, you are requested to
enter the PIN code provided by the phone network
service. After entering the PIN code, the Zenius5 searches
for the phone network service.
