DESCRIPTION
GenTite Peel & Stick Pipe Boots (Black) are specifically designed to be used in conjunction with Rubber
Roofing (Black) roofing applications for flashing round penetrations. Each pipe boot will fit various width
penetrations and can be cut to the correct pipe diameter before installation.
INSTALLATION
Refer to current GenTite Application Instructions for additional application instructions.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the receiving surfaces are free of debris and no moisture is present.
1. Thoroughly mix GenTite Primer. DO NOT THIN! A minimum of 2 minutes of vigorous hand mixing
with a wooden paint stirrer or its equivalent is required. All sources of ignition should be eliminated;
adequate ventilation should exist.
2. Clean all surfaces with a clean cotton rag, removing excess contamination prior to application of the
primer.
3. With a scrub pad and handle, apply GenTite Primer to the bonding area, using long and continuous
back and forth strokes with heavy to moderate pressure until no streaks or puddling occurs.
4. Allow GenTite Primer to dry until slightly tacky to a dry finger touch.
5. Apply GenTite Water Stop to penetration at necessary height.
6. Cut the GenTite Peel & Stick Pipe Boot to the desired diameter and slide down the pipe until the boot
is approximately 2” (50.8 mm) above the deck sheet.
7. Peel off the release paper from the underside of the pipe boot and finish sliding the boot into place.
8. Using a Teflon coated or hard rubber roller, press firmly on the pipe boot flange to ensure uniform
contact.
DO NOT TRY TO REPOSITION THE BOOT ONCE IT HAS BEEN PLACED ONTO THE
DECK SHEET.
9. Install the clamping ring.
10. Apply GenTite Caulk around the perimeter of boot flange and along any factory or field seam that
may run under the boot.
