8 USING THE G7200 BATTERY SPECS The following recommendations should ONLY be considered as guidelines. Always refer to the battery manufacturer’s recommendations for battery charging. The G7200 is suitable for charging all types of 12V & 24V lead-acid batteries, including Wet (Flooded), Gel, MF (Maintenance-Free) and AGM (Absorption Glass Mat) batteries. The G7200 can be used on battery sizes from 14 to 230Ah (12V) and 14-120Ah (24V).
10 USING THE G7200 CHARGE MODES continued MODE EXPLANATION 13.6V SUPPLY 13.6V 14-230Ah 5A (5000mA) Red LED The 13.6V SUPPLY mode is used for low voltage batteries, maintenance charging or as a power supply. The 13.6V SUPPLY provides a constant voltage of 13.6V at 5A (5000mA). For low voltage batteries, the 13.6V SUPPLY mode will increase the battery voltage (regardless of the starting voltage) to a point where the battery charger can perform a normal charge cycle.
12 USING THE G7200 IF THE BATTERY IS INSTALLED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE 1.) Position both the AC power plug and battery clamps or eyelet terminal connectors to avoid accidental damage by moving vehicle parts (i.e. hoods, doors) or moving engine parts (i.e. fan blades, belts, pulleys). 2.) Determine the vehicle’s battery system. If the POSITIVE (POS,P,+) battery terminal is connected to the vehicle chassis, then the vehicle has a Positive Ground System.
14 USING THE G7200 USING THE G7200 15 USING 13.6V SUPPLY MODE USING 16V BOOST MODE The 13.6V SUPPLY mode is used for low voltage batteries, maintenance charging or as a power supply for 12V batteries (14-230Ah). The 16V BOOST mode is used to recover battery capacity from a stratified (sulfated) 12V battery (14-230Ah). In order to operate the 13.6V SUPPLY mode, the battery charger MUST NOT be connected to the battery.

ERROR LED The ERROR LED (Orange) will illuminate when an error condition or reverse polarity is present. CHARGE LEVEL 17 STANDBY LED The STANDBY LED (Green) illuminates when a charging mode has not been selected. Indicates the current charge level of the battery. 20 USING THE G7200 CHARGING STEPS USING THE G7200 21 Step 10: Maintenance Continuously monitors the battery voltage to determine if a Maintenance charge should be initiated. If the terminal voltage falls below 12.8V (12V) and 25.6V (24V), the charger will start the Maintenance cycle until voltage reaches 14.4V (12V) and 28.8V (24V) and then discontinues the charge cycle. The cycle between Trickle and Maintenance is repeated indefinitely to keep the battery at full charge, without overcharging.

24 TROUBLESHOOTING TROUBLESHOOTING ORANGE ERROR LED ILLUMINATES If you have accidentally reversed the battery connections, POSITIVE to NEGATIVE (and vice versa), an ERROR LED (Orange) will illuminate solid. If you see the ERROR LED illuminated, you will need to clear the ERROR by correcting the battery connections, POSITIVE to POSITIVE and NEGATIVE to NEGATIVE. The ERROR LED is a visual diagnostic tool to inform you that you have made the wrong battery connections.
26 TROUBLESHOOTING CHARGE LEDs IMMEDIATELY ILLUMINATE TO 100% If the battery charger’s CHARGE LEDs immediately illuminate to 100% when the AC power is applied to the battery charger, the battery is either already fully charged or the battery is in extremely poor condition as a result of sulfation or damage. If the battery is new, the battery is likely already fully charged.
28 TROUBLESHOOTING TESTING TO SEE IF CHARGER IS CHARGING Before applying AC power to the charger, measure the battery with a digital volt meter and write the value down. Then plug the charger in making sure that within 5 seconds the charger is indicating that the charging process has begun (See WICKED SMART FEATURE: INITIALIZATION). Wait 30 seconds and measure the battery again with the digital volt meter. The battery voltage should be higher and slowly moving up.

Si la tension des bornes chute en deçà de 12,8 V (12 V) et 25,6 V (24 V), le chargeur initie le cycle de maintien jusqu'à ce que la tension atteigne 14,4 V (12 V) et 28,8 V (24 V) puis interrompt le cycle de charge.

DÉPANNAGE DÉPANNAGE LE VOYANT DEL D'ERREUR ORANGE S'ALLUME Si les connexions de la batterie ont été inversées accidentellement, de POSITIF à NÉGATIF (et vice-versa), le voyant DEL d'ERREUR (orange) s'allume en continu. Si le voyant DEL d'ERREUR s'allume, l'ERREUR doit être effacée en corrigeant les connexions de la batterie, POSITIF sur POSITIF et NÉGATIF sur NÉGATIF. Le voyant DEL d'ERREUR est un outil de diagnostic visuel indiquant que les connexions de la batterie sont incorrectes.
60 DÉPANNAGE LE(S) VOYANT(S) DEL S'ALLUME(NT) IMMÉDIATEMENT À 100 %. Si le(s) voyant(s) DEL de CHARGE du chargeur s'allume(nt) immédiatement à 100 % lorsqu'une tension c.a. est appliquée sur le chargeur, la batterie est soit complètement chargée, soit en très mauvais état dû à un sulfatage ou à des dommages. Si la batterie est neuve, il est très probable qu'elle soit déjà complètement chargée.
DÉPANNAGE TEST DE FONCTIONNEMENT DU CHARGEUR Avant d'appliquer une tension c.a. sur le chargeur, mesurer la batterie avec un voltmètre numérique et noter la valeur. Brancher ensuite le chargeur et s'assurer qu'il indique dans les 5 secondes que le processus de charge a commencé (voir FONCTION WICKED SMART : INITIALISATION). Attendre 30 secondes et mesurer la batterie une nouvelle fois avec le voltmètre numérique. La tension de la batterie doit être plus élevée et continuer à augmenter.

SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS SE ENCIENDE EL LED DE ERROR ANARANJADO Si accidentalmente invirtió la polaridad de las conexiones de la batería, POSITIVO con NEGATIVO (y viceversa) se encenderá de manera fija un LED de ERROR (anaranjado). Si observa que el LED de ERROR está encendido, deberá despejar el ERROR corrigiendo las conexiones de la batería, POSITIVO con POSITIVO y NEGATIVO con NEGATIVO.
94 SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS 95 LOS LED DE CHARGE SE ENCIENDEN AL 100% EN FORMA INMEDIATA Si los LED de CHARGE del cargador de batería se encienden directamente al 100% cuando se conecta el cargador de batería a la fuente de alimentación de CA, puede ser que la batería esté completamente cargada o en muy malas condiciones por estar sulfatada o dañada. Si la batería es nueva, es probable que ya esté completamente cargada.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS PRUEBA PARA SABER SI EL CARGADOR ESTÁ CARGANDO Antes de suministrar corriente CA al cargador, mida la batería con un voltímetro digital y anote el valor.
