Configuring WiFi IDCM
You can configure the WiFi or change the WiFi configuration from your APP by going to the doors tab,
selecting the name of your door opener (which will have the serial number just beneath it,) and
selecting “Configure WiFi” at the bottom of the page. Follow the steps provided.
In some cases, you may wish to configure the WiFi without using the Aladdin Connect app. The following
steps will guide you through this process:
1. Press the WiFi button on the side of your door opener (the main component mounted to the
garage ceiling) until you hear a beep. After about 10 seconds the LED by the WiFi button should
turn blue.
2. Go to the settings of a WiFi enabled device, such as a laptop or your smart phone. Look for a list
of networks available to connect to. One of these networks should start with "gdocntl." Please
connect to that network.
3. Launch an internet browser. Something like Chrome or Safari works well. Type the following
number into the address bar at the top of the page: 192.168.1.1
4. Depending on how far you have progressed on previous attempts to configure the WiFi you will
see wither a “change” button or a “configure” button on the next page. Select whichever button
you see.
5. Fill in the requested information regarding your home WiFi network. Select "submit" at the
bottom of the page.
At this point you can turn your attention back to the door opener. You will see a "light show" as the
device tries to connect to the internet. You should see a solid green light within 5 minutes.
