Right Side Connectors
1 Serial Port
The 9-pin serial port can be used to connect your computer to serial devices such as fax/modem or a
serial mouse. This port is identified as COM1 and is 16550A compatible.
2 LAN RJ-45 Jack (optional)
With the built-in Ethernet LAN combo, you can make LAN connections without installing PC cards.
Connection speed is 10/100 Mbps.
NOTE
This is an optional port depending on the configuration that was ordered.
3 USB (Universal Serial Bus) Ports (2 Connectors)
The Universal Serial Bus (USB) is the latest standard for attaching input devices, scanners, and other
devices to a PC. USB devices can be chained together on a single cable. The GoBook Max is USB is
1.1 compliant.
4 Microphone/Audio Connector
Connect a microphone to this jack to record audio. Connect external speakers or a stereo headset to
listen to multimedia. This requires an audio adapter.
5 External Monitor Connector
Connect an external monitor to this port.
