Battery Calibration

The first time you use a battery, you should calibrate it. The calibration

process empties and charges the battery one time. This allows the Windows

battery gauge to accurately monitor battery status. To calibrate the main

battery or second external battery, follow these steps:

1. Plug in the AC adapter .

2. Restart the computer and when the startup screen appears, use your

digitizer pen to tap on the green Setup box in the corner of the screen.

This starts the Setup Utility .

3. Then select the Setup function "Battery Calibration". Please press the

Line Up or Line Down keys to select the option, and Enter to continue.

4. You will be prompted to make sure the AC adapter and Battery are

present. Do this and then Select Yes to begin "battery auto-learning".

Battery Calibration will take from 10 to 16 hours, depending on how much

power the battery may already contain.

NOTE For optimum performance, we recommend calibrating the battery

and optional secondary battery every three months.
