Field Setting Function
LPT Extended Mode Standard This field makes the parallel port comply with one of the
EPP different kinds of parallel communications: Standard,
ECP Extended Capabilities Port (ECP), and Enhanced Parallel Port
(EPP).
Standard allows data output only. ECP are EPP are
bi-directional modes, allowing both data input and output.
ECP and EPP modes are only supported with EPP and ECP
aware peripherals.
EPP Version 1.9 Use this field to set which version of EPP to use, if EPP has
1.7 been selected as the LPT Extended Mode.
LPT Port DMA 0 Use this field to select the DMA channel to be used when the
Channel 1 LPT Extended Mode is ECP. The available channels are 0, 1,
3 and 3.
Auto-Detect Hard Disk
When Auto-Detect Hard Disk is selected, the BIOS will automatically detect Pri. Master, Pri. Slave, and Sec. Slave
settings.
