Manual activation
Activationȱinvolvesȱphoningȱyourȱserviceȱprovider,ȱ
exchangingȱinformation,ȱandȱenteringȱyourȱaccountȱinforȬ
mationȱintoȱtheȱappropriateȱfieldsȱinȱtheȱwizard.ȱ(Toȱuseȱthisȱ
method,ȱyouȱrequireȱaȱphone.)
Toȱuseȱmanualȱactivation,ȱuseȱtheȱ
NextȱandȱBackȱbuttonsȱtoȱ
navigateȱthroughȱtheȱwizard,ȱnotingȱtheȱfollowing:
• Obtainȱtheȱbillingȱinformationȱlistedȱonȱtheȱsecondȱ
windowȱofȱtheȱwizardȱbeforeȱphoningȱtheȱserviceȱproviderȱ
orȱproceedingȱtoȱtheȱnextȱwindow.
• Contactȱyourȱserviceȱprovider.ȱInformȱyourȱserviceȱ
providerȱthatȱyouȱareȱactivatingȱyourȱSierraȱWirelessȱ
AirCard 595.ȱTheȱrepresentativeȱwillȱrequestȱyourȱ
ESN (ElectronicȱSerialȱNumber)ȱorȱMEID.ȱThisȱisȱdisplayedȱ
inȱtheȱActivationȱWizardȱ(andȱisȱprintedȱonȱtheȱAirCardȱ
boxȱandȱonȱtheȱlabelȱonȱtheȱbackȱofȱtheȱAirCard).
• Asȱpromptedȱbyȱtheȱwizard,ȱenterȱtheȱinformationȱ
providedȱbyȱtheȱserviceȱrepresentative.
• Selectȱ
Finishȱinȱtheȱfinalȱwindowȱofȱtheȱwizard.
OnȱcompletionȱofȱtheȱActivationȱWizard,ȱtheȱAirCardȱisȱreadyȱ
forȱuse.ȱTheȱfollowingȱchaptersȱexplainȱhowȱtoȱuseȱWatcherȱtoȱ
manageȱandȱmonitorȱyourȱconnections.
Automated activation
Toȱuseȱautomatedȱactivation:
1. Selectȱtheȱ
Automated ActivationȱradioȱbuttonȱandȱclickȱNext.
2. Theȱwizardȱadvisesȱthatȱitȱwillȱmakeȱaȱnetworkȱconnection,ȱ
dialingȱtheȱdisplayedȱnumber.ȱLeaveȱtheȱnumberȱ
unchangedȱunlessȱtoldȱbyȱaȱtechnicalȱserviceȱrepresenȬ
tativeȱtoȱenterȱaȱdifferentȱvalue.ȱClickȱ
Next.
3. Followȱanyȱinstructionsȱorȱpromptsȱprovidedȱtoȱactivateȱ
theȱcard.
