How To Find the Best Radio Signal

1. Insert the Wireless Broadband Modem into the PCMCIA drive bay of your

computer, the card should automatically power on.

2. Your Wireless Broadband Modem will then perform a short self-test that will last

for approximately five seconds.

3. The Wireless Broadband Modem will then attempt to search for the best radio

signal and will display an indication that it has been able to find a signal by

means of varying the PCMCIA lights on the modem display.

4. Using the dialler application on the PC, the signal strength indication shown on

the PC screen can be used as a guide for judging available signal level and

positioning the whip antenna for best signal. The stronger signal the higher the

peak data rate available. See page 17.
