mixture and help the enginerun better and lastlonger.
3.3.1 GENERATOR/V/A/NTENANCE
Generatormaintenanceconsists of keepingthe unit clean and dry.
Operateand storethe unit in a clean dry environmentwhere it will
not be exposedto excessive dust, dirt, moisture or any corrosive

its exteriorsurface.
,ACAUTION!
,iA Never insertany object or toolthroughthe air cooling
slots,even if the engineis notrunning.
NOTE:
DO NOTuse a garden hosetocleangenerator. Water can
entertheengine fuel systemand causeproblems. In addition,
if water entersthegeneratorthroughcoolingair slots, some
water will be retainedin voidsandcrevicesof the rotor
and stator winding insulation. Wateranddirt builduponthe
generator internal windings will eventuallydecreasethe
insulationresistanceofthesewindings.
3.3.2 TOCLEANTHEGENERATOR
• Usea dampcloth to wipe exteriorsurfaces clean.
• A soft, bristlebrush may beusedto loosencakedon dirt, oil, etc.
