General Information and Setup
UTV Extension
1. See Figure 2-19. Pull existing wire harness con-
nector (A) from blade engage control box (B).

Plug UTV extension onto the wire harness.

Plug blade engage control box onto UTV extension.
NOTE: Don’t force the connections. One end of the UTV
extension will only fit into the control box and the other
end will only fit into the existing wire harness.
4. Secure blade extension control box to tow vehicle.
See Attaching Blade Engage and Disengage
Remote Control.
Blade Clutch Burnishing
The blade clutch must be burnished before initial use to
ensure optimum engaging and braking action.
NOTE: The machine must be fully assembled and set up
before performing the burnishing procedure.
1. Start the engine and set the machine to half throt-
tle. See Starting Unit.
2. Engage blade clutch for two seconds, disengage
and let cool down for 10 seconds.
3. Repeat step 2 for 50 cycles.

Accidental start-up. Before servicing or detangling, shut
down unit, allow to cool, remove keys, and disconnect spark
plug wire(s). Failure to do so could result in death, serious
injury, or equipment damage.
