Replacing Air Filter Element

Proceed as follows to replace air filter element:

1. See Figure 5-12. Remove nut (B) and bolt (C) from

air filter clamp, and loosen elbow clamp (D) to

elease air cleaner.

2. Remove air filter eleme

nt (A) and discard.

3. Th

oroughly clean elbow of any dust, dirt, or debris.

4. Place ne

w air filter element into elbow clamp.

5. In

stall elbow clamp over clamping surfaces and

tighten. Install nut and bolt from air filter clamp, and

tighten until snug.

NOTE: Service k

its are available from an IASD.

Final Instructions

Proceed as follows if only performing Schedule A mainte-

nance procedures:

1. Insta

ll negative battery cable (black) onto negative

battery (-) terminal.

2. Inst

all left and right side access panels. See

Access Panels.

3. See Return To Service.
