Automatic start-up. Disconnect mains
power and render the equipment
inoperable before attempting repairs
or maintenance.

Two lead wires deliver 120V electrical power to the
heater from the T1 and Neutral terminals at the customer
connection panel.
Preparing for Installation
Automatic start-up. Disconnect mains
power and render the equipment
inoperable before attempting repairs
or maintenance.

NOTE: Follow shutdown procedure in owner’s manual if
generator set is running.
Proceed as follows before performing any maintenance
to prevent
the generator set from accidental startup:
1. Lift
lid, press OFF mode button on control panel,
and allow unit to cool completely.
2. Set
MLCB (generator disconnect) to OFF (OPEN)
position.
3. Remov
e 7.5A DC fuse.
4. T
urn off utility (mains) power supply to transfer
switch.
In service rated transfer switches, turn main
br
eaker OFF.
In non-service-rated switches, turn power feeder
breaker OFF.
NOTE: T
he T1, T2 (if applicable), N1, and N2 fuses
could be removed from the transfer switch by an electri-
cal contractor instead of turning off the normal power cir-
cuit breaker.
5. With
generator set shut down, remove controller
fascia (2013–2015 units) or intake side panel (2016
and newer units), and front panel.

move customer con-
nection panel cover (A).
