General Information and Setup
Attaching Shredder Hopper and
Hammermill Housing
1. See Figure 2-4. Remove the two shipping nuts (A)
securing hammermill housing (B) to the power unit
using a 1/2” wrench. Discard shipping nuts.

edder hopper (C) on a flat surface and set ham-
mermill housing (D) over the shredder hopper

3. Secu
re hammer head housing to shredder hopper
using:
1-1/4-20 button head screws on the inside with a
5/32” Allen wrench.
1-1/4-20 locknuts on the outside with a 7/16”
wrench.
NOTE: Ad
just the shredder hopper and hammermill
housing while tightening the hardware to make sure the
back side of hopper (D) is flush to flange (F).

erify there are no noticeable gaps between the
hammermill housing flange and flywheel housing.
NOTE: If there are gaps
, remove the hammermill hous-
ing/shredder hopper assembly, loosen the hardware
installed in s
tep 2 and adjust the hammermill housing and
shredder hopper to align better with the flywheel housing.
Retighten the hardware and reposition the hammermill
housing and shredder hopper onto the flywheel housing
studs.
6. See Figure 2-7. Secure hammermill housing/
shr
edder hopper assembly (J) with nine 5/16-18
flange locknuts (K) using a 1/2” wrench.
7. Insta
ll the shredder hopper guard and bracket
assembly with three 1/4-20 flange locknuts (L)
using a 7/16” wrench.
