Placing Chemical Pump for Use DANGER Asphyxiation. Running engines produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Carbon monoxide, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury. (000103) WARNING Risk of Fire. Hot surfaces could ignite combustibles, resulting in fire.
Operation High Altitude Operation This equipment produces maximum suction lift at elevations below 1000 ft (305 m). For every increase of 1000 ft (305 m) above sea level: • the engine will lose about 3% of its power • total head will be reduced by about 10 in (25 cm). Lower atmospheric pressure results in slower engine speeds and reduced flow through the pump. 4. See Figure 3-5. Move throttle lever (C) about 1/3 away from the MIN position. 5. See Figure 3-4. Operation Preventing Water Hammer Water hammer occurs when the discharge flow is suddenly blocked or stopped. Pressurized chemicals trapped inside the pump can quickly boil and crack or damage the pump housing. To prevent water hammer: • Do not close the discharge valve while the pump is operating. • Do not allow vehicles to drive over the discharge hose. • Do not abruptly compress the discharge hose. • Do not shut off flow while the engine is running. Chemical pump warranty does not cover items subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To receive full warranty value, operator must maintain chemical pump as instructed in this manual, including proper storage as detailed in Storage.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting 1. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug and place the wire where it cannot contact spark plug. 2. Place a suitable collection container beneath the engine. 3. See Figure 4-1. Remove oil fill cap (A). A Service Spark Plug To service spark plug: 1. See Figure 4-2. Clean area around spark plug (A). 2. Remove and inspect spark plug. 3. See Figure 4-2 and Figure 4-3. Inspect electrode gap (B) with wire feeler gauge and replace spark plug if gap is not within 0.

Stale fuel. 5. Fuel switch in OFF position (if equipped). 6. Low oil level (units with low oil shutdown system). 7. Spark plug wire not connected to plug. 8. Bad spark plug. 9. Choke position incorrect. 10. Water in fuel. 11. Excessively rich fuel mixture. 12. Impeller obstructed. 13. Dirty fuel filter.

Funcionamiento Funcionamiento a gran altitud Este equipo genera la capacidad máxima de succión en elevaciones por debajo de los 1000 pies (305 m). Por cada incremento de 1000 pies (305 m) por encima del nivel del mar: • el motor perderá aproximadamente 3 % de su potencia. • la altura total se reducirá aproximadamente 10 pulgadas (25 cm). Retire e inspeccione la bujía. 3. Consulte la Figura 4-2 y la Figura 4-3. Compruebe la separación entre electrodos (B) con un calibrador de alambre y cambie la bujía si la separación no es de 0,028 0,031 pulg. (0,70 - 0,80 mm). NOTA: Use SOLAMENTE equipo o repuestos originales.

Les carburants à base d’alcool (appelés essence-alcool, éthanol ou méthanol) peuvent attirer l’humidité, ce qui entraîne une séparation et la formation d’acides durant l’entreposage. Les gaz acides peuvent endommager le circuit de carburant d’un moteur entreposé.
Fonctionnement Section 3 Fonctionnement Questions relatives au fonctionnement Si vous avez le moindre problème pour faire fonctionner votre pompe à produits chimiques, contactez le Service client de Generac au 1-888-GENERAC (888-436-3722). • Placez le tuyau de refoulement à un endroit approprié pour évacuer les produits chimiques. Assurez-vous que le tuyau de refoulement est bien fixé à l’orifice de refoulement. Vérifiez également que l’orifice du tuyau n’est pas obstrué.
Fonctionnement Fonctionnement à haute altitude B Cette pompe offre une hauteur d’aspiration optimale à des altitudes inférieures à 1 000 pi (305 m). Pour chaque incrément de 1 000 pi (305 m) au-dessus du niveau de la mer : • le moteur perd environ 3 % de sa puissance; • la hauteur totale est réduite d’environ 10 po (25 cm). La réduction de la pression atmosphérique entraîne une baisse des régimes moteur et du débit.
Fonctionnement 6. Saisissez la poignée du lanceur à rappel (E) et tirez-la lentement jusqu’à ressentir une certaine résistance. Tirez-la ensuite rapidement pour démarrer le moteur. Remettez-la lentement en place. NE laissez PAS le lanceur à rappel se rabattre brusquement contre son logement. 7. Une fois le moteur démarré, placez lentement le levier d’étrangleur en position OUVERT pendant que le moteur chauffe.

Pour toute réparation, contactez un CRIA. La garantie de la pompe à produits chimiques ne couvre pas les articles ayant fait l’objet d’une utilisation abusive ou d’une négligence de la part d’un opérateur.
Maintenance et dépannage REMARQUE : Si la pompe est équipée d’un « système d’alerte d’huile », celui-ci arrêtera automatiquement le moteur avant que le niveau d’huile ne chute en dessous d’une limite sûre. Changement de l’huile moteur AVERTISSEMENT Démarrage accidentel. Débranchez les câbles de bougie lorsque vous travaillez sur l’appareil. Le non-respect de cette consigne pourrait entraîner la mort ou des blessures graves.
