7. Install the 23-pin connector back into the connector on the back of the control panel. See Figure 2.
8. Reconnect the negative (-) black lead to the battery.
9. Install the generator front panel.
10. Install the control panel 7.5 Amp fuse.
11. Leave the generator in the OFF mode. Proceed to 2.2 - Programming.
2.1.2 - NEXUS Controller - Version #2
1. Bottom (underside) of Nexus Controller for Steps 1-3. Unplug the 5-pin connector from the Nexus control panel by carefully releasing the
latch on the side of the connector, Figure 3.

2. Insert the terminated ends of the two white wires (0J0973A) into open locations 4 and 5 of the 5-pin harness
connector. The other ends of both white wires will be connected to the start switch.
3. Install the 5-pin connector back into the connector on the back of the control panel. See Figure 3.
4. Reconnect the negative (-) black lead to the battery.
5. Install the generator front panel.
6. Install the control panel 7.5 Amp fuse.
7. Leave the generator switch in the OFF mode. Proceed to 2.2 - Programming.
2.1.3 - NEXUS Controller - Version #3
1. Bottom (underside) of Nexus Controller for Steps 1-3. Unplug the 9-pin connector from the Nexus control panel by carefully releasing the
latch on the side of the connector, Figure 4.
2. Insert the terminated ends of the two black wires (0J0973B) into open locations 7 and 8 of the 9-pin harness connector. The other ends of
both black wires will be connected to the start switch.
3. Install the 9-pin connector back into the connector on the back of the control panel. See Figure 4.
4. Reconnect the negative (-) black lead to the battery.
5. Install the generator front panel.
6. Install the control panel 7.5 Amp fuse.
7. Leave the generator in the OFF mode. Proceed to the 2.2 - Programming.
