Section 1 Foreward 1.1 - INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing this Mobile Link™ adapter. This wiring harness permits installation of the Mobile Link™ unit to 2010 and later liquidcooled gaseous fueled Home Standby (HSB) generators. This Installation Manual covers ONLY the unique steps for installation on a liquid-cooled generator.You MUST also use the instructions in the Mobile Link Unit’s Owner’s and Installation manual (0K2289) for complete installation procedures.

Section 2 Liquid-cooled Installation 2.1 - Installation 1. Switch generator to OFF. Remove the generator panel fuse. 2. Turn the main breaker in the home’s electrical panel into the OFF position. 3. Remove the T1 fuse from the transfer switch 4. Disconnect battery black (-) negative cable. Then, the red (+) positive cable. 5. Remove any controller sheet metal fasteners and covers required for access. 6. Attach and use the template provided with the adapter to position the hole location.

10. Locate the 8 pin connector port, on the back of the Nexus controller, and plug in the matching 8 pin connector from the new harness. See Figure 2.2. NOTE: The connector will only fit one way. DO NOT force. Figure 2.2 - Harness installed to Controller. 11. If the harness wires are too long, wire tie a loop in the harness and ensure that it clears any components that may become hot. 16. Turn on the main breaker in the home’s electrical panel. NOTE: The control panel will require the correct language, time and date be reset. Also, reset the exercise time, if applicable. 17. Place the generator into AUTO. 18. Flip the utility disconnect switch to simulate a power outage. The generator should turn on. Allow to run for approximately 30 seconds, then turn the utility switch back to restore utility service. 19. Verify that the Mobile Link unit’s middle and bottom LEDs are illuminated.
