Personal precautions
Attention! Corrosive material. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Ensure adequate
ventilation. Use personal protective equipment as required. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.

Environmental precautions
Content is corrosive. In the event of a rupture, spill or release stop flow of material,
contain/absorb small spills with dry sand, earth, and vermiculite. Do not use combustible
materials. If possible, carefully neutralize spilled electrolyte with soda ash, sodium
bicarbonate, lime, etc. Do not allow discharge of un-neutralized acid to sewer. Acid must
be managed in accordance with approved local, state, and federal requirements. Consult
state environmental agency and /or federal EPA.

Pick up and transfer to properly labeled containers.
