acid or sulfuric acid solutions contained within a battery. Inorganic acid mist (sulfuric acid
mist) is not generated under normal use of this product. Misuse of the product, such as
overcharging, may result in the generation of sulfuric acid mist.
Lead Compounds- Lead is listed as a 2B carcinogen, likely in animals are extreme doses.
Proof of carcinogenicity in humans is lacking at present.
Arsenic – Listed by National Toxicology Program (NTP), International Agency for Research
on Cancer (IARC), OSHA and NIOSH as a carcinogen on ly after prolonged exposure at
high levels.
The table below indicates whether each agency has listed any ingredient as a carcinogen.

Reproductive toxicity
Product is or contains a chemical which is a known or suspected reproductive hazard.
Contains a known or suspected reproductive toxin.
Effects of Over Exposure
Acute - Sulfuric Acid - Sever skin irritation, damage to cornea, upper respiratory irritation.
Lead Compounds – Symptoms of toxicity include headache, fatigue, abdominal pain, loss
of appetite, muscular aches and weakness, sleep disturbances and irritability.
Chronic – Sulfuric Acid – Possible erosion of tooth enamel, inflammation of nose, throat &
bronchial tubes. Lead Compounds – Anemia; neuropathy, particularly of the motor nerves,
with wrist drop; kidney damage; reproductive changes in males and females. Repeated
exposure to lead and lead compounds in the workplace may result in nervous system
toxicity. Some toxicologists report abnormal conduction velocities in persons with blood
lead levels of 50ug/100ml or higher. Heavy lead exposure may result in central nervous
damage, encephalopathy and damage to the blood-forming (hematopoietic) tissues.
STOT - single exposure
No information available.
STOT - repeated exposure
Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Based on
classification criteria from the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR
1910.1200), this product has been determined to cause systemic target organ toxicity from
chronic or repeated exposure. (STOT RE).
Chronic Toxicity
Chronic exposure to corrosive fumes/gases may cause erosion of the teeth followed by jaw
necrosis. Bronchial irritation with chronic cough and frequent attacks of pneumonia are
common. Gastrointestinal disturbances may also be seen. Effects from this product
caused by acute exposure may cause permanent damage to target organs and/or may
cause chronic conditions. Contains a known or suspected carcinogen. Contains a known or
suspected reproductive toxin. Possible risk of irreversible effects. Avoid repeated exposure.
Prolonged exposure may cause chronic effects. May cause adverse effects on the bone
marrow and blood-forming system. Lead compounds may be absorbed by ingestion, by
inhalation and through the skin. Lead may damage kidney function, the blood forming
system and the reproductive system.
