Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Replacing Cutting Teeth
1. See Figure 4-13. Remove locknut (A).

2. Lightly tap on the top of the tooth threads with a
dead-blow hammer to remove the tooth (D) from
the tooth mount (C).
3. Insert a new tooth into the mount.
4. See Figure 4-14. Align the flat area on the side of
the tooth (E) with the flat area of the mount (F).

NOTE: Verify spacer (B) remains in position when install-
ing the new tooth.
5. Install the new locknut provided with the replace-
ment teeth and torque to 20 ft-lb (27.12 nm)
6. Repeat steps 1-5 for the remaining teeth as
needed.
Adjusting Handlebars
1. Remove the left wheel. See Replacing Clutch.

. Remove four bolts, lock washers
and flat washers (A) from the brake drum with a 1/2"
wrench and pull drum (B) from the axle

3. See Figure 4-16. Remove bottom bolt, flat wash-
ers and locknuts (C) from both handlebars with two
9/16" wrenches and loosen upper hardware (D).

4. Rotate the handlebars forward to lift the handlebars
higher or back to lower the handlebars

Align holes in the handlebars with holes in the frame.
NOTE: When the handlebars are at the highest setting,
the exhaust deflector must be oriented 45º downward to
prevent it from pointing directly at the handlebar.
6. Reinstall the bottom bolt, flat washers and locknuts
into both handlebars and tighten all handlebar
hardware with two 9/16" wrenches.
7. Reinstall the brake drum and secure with four
bolts, lock washers and flat washers.
8. Reinstall the wheel. See Replacing Clutch.

Equipment damage. Replace head assembly when damaged
or worn. Verify all parts are tightened to specification. Failure
to do so could result in cutting teeth coming loose, and could
result in equipment damage.
