Operation
Shredder Hopper
• Feed limited quantities of material into shredder
hopper. Increase quantity as suitable. Decrease
quantity if engine speed decreases. This amount
will vary based on material being shredded.
• Do not resume feeding until engine has returned to
speed.
• Maximum diameter of material is 1.5 in (38.1 mm).
Larger material must be fed through the chipper
hopper.
• Inspect unit for damage regularly. Damage can
cause rotor assembly to be unbalanced, causing
excessive vibration. Do not use unit if there is
excessive vibration.
• Small branches can be fed into shredder hopper
once bundled, if bundle diameter is less than 1.5 in
(38.1 mm).
• Allow green materials to dry before feeding. Wet
materials may cause clogging or winding.
Stopping
NOTE: Close fuel shutoff valve when transporting or
storing unit.
1. Set throttle control lever to slow, and turn key to off.
2. Remove key and store in a safe place.
