It’s double the width of Genaray’s SSL-36B and SSL-50 SSL-836B INTRODUCTION lights, and its broad 8-inch array casts a wraparound beam that envelopes subjects with a controlled color temperature range of 3000 to 5600 K. It’s perfect for full-length portraits and excels as a hair or accent light for group shots.

INSTRUCTIONS POWERING THE SSL-836B Using the SSL-836B with AC power To Secure the AC Adapter to the Control Box: 1. Connect the AC power adapter to the control box with the locking 4-pin XLR connector, and plug the power cable into an outlet. 1. Wrap the touch-connect strap securely around the AC adapter. Important! The connectors should easily attach. Don’t use force to connect the control box to the light fixture. 2.
POWERING THE SSL-836B (CONTINUED) ADJUSTING THE LIGHT Using the SSL-836B with Battery Power 1. When attaching a V-mount battery, make sure the power switch is in the off position, and disconnect the AC adapter so the control box is not plugged into a wall outlet. 2. Align the battery terminals with the contacts in the battery mount. 3. Place the battery into the mount, and push the battery toward the contacts until it clicks into place. 4. Push the 3-way power switch to the DC position.
ADJUSTING THE LIGHT (CONTINUED) Barndoors INSTRUCTIONS Adjust the barndoor to aim or shape the beam and contain light spill. Important! Do not operate the light while the barndoors are closed. WIRELESS OPERATION The SSL-836B’s control box has an integrated transmitter and receiver with four channels. The Genaray SSL-RC remote (sold separately) can control multiple SSL-series lights. Refer to the Genaray SSL-RC user manual for setup and operation instructions.

Mutual Control (multiple lights set to the same channel): Any control box will set the brightness level for all the lights set to the same channel. USING THE SSL-RC REMOTE The Genaray SSL-RC remote (sold separately) can control multiple Genaray lights that support the SSL-RC remote system.
