I want to connect the router to a cable modem or DSL router that has an IP
address of 192.168.2.1; what do I do?
1. Disconnect your cable m odem or DSL rout er and com plete the
installat ion
procedure for t he rout er.
2. When you have finished the inst allat ion procedure, start the router configurat ion
pages by opening a Web browser and typing
1 9 2 .1 6 8 .2 .1 and pressing ENTER.
3. Click the
LAN tab.
4. Under I P Address, change the I P address of the rout er to 1 9 2 .1 6 8 .3 .1 ( or
what ever I P address you want t he rout er to have) and then click anywhere
outside of the I P address field.
5. I f you have DHCP Server enabled, it will aut om at ically updat e the I P range to
reflect the change you m ade t o t he I P address.
6. Click Save at t he bot tom of the page.
7. You will now need to updat e the I P address of your com puter. You will need to
com plet e t his procedure on any com put ers t hat were previously connected to the
rout er.
