Install Your USRobotics Wireless Nd

PCI Adapter
1.
I nsert t he USRobotics I nstallat ion CD- ROM int o your com put er’s CD- ROM or
DVD drive.
I f t he CD does not start aut om at ically, start it m anually as follows:
A. Windows XP: Click Windows St a r t > My Com put e r .
Windows 2000: On t he deskt op, double-click M y Com put e r .
B. Double- click t he CD drive.

PCI Adapt er, click I nst a ll, and follow the on- screen
instructions.
3. I f a window appears warning that the soft ware has not passed Windows testing,
cont inue wit h the installat ion. USRobotics has thoroughly t ested t he operat ion
of t he software wit h Windows to ensure it s safe operat ion.
Windows XP: Click Cont inue Anyw a y.
Windows 2000: Click Ye s.
4. When you are prom pted to Power Off your com put er, click Pow er Off ( wit h
Windows 2000 you m ust also m anually power off t he com puter) and unplug
your com puter.
5. Open your com put er’s case and rem ove t he screw and m et al filler bracket for
an available PCI slot.
6. Hold t he wireless adapt er by it s edges. Do not t ouch t he contacts on t he
connector. I nsert the wireless adapt er int o t he available PCI slot and press it
firm ly t o seat it in t he connector.
