I am experiencing poor wireless link quality.
Solution 1:
Poor link qualit y or range can be caused by environm ental int erference, such as lead-
based paint and concret e walls. Move t he ant enna of t he Wireless N d
1
PCI Card or
reposit ion a com puter using t he PC Card t o im prove t he link quality. I f possible,
ensure t hat there are no obstructions between wireless client s and t he rout er.
Solution 2:
Perform a wireless sit e scan or sit e survey in t he client ut ility for your wireless
adapt er to check for any adj acent net works. I f you find any adj acent networks, check
to see what channels the net works are using. Alt hough the rout er will try t o select t he
best available wireless channel, if your rout er and another network are running on the
sam e channel, you m ay need t o adj ust change your router's sett ings to use anot her
channel.
Solution 4:
Som e elect ronic devices, such as 2.4GHz phones and m icrowave ovens, m ay int erfere
with the wireless signal and affect your wireless range and link qualit y. Try creating a
wireless connection on a different channel.
