I am no longer able to access the Internet.
When your com put er connects t o t he I nternet using t he router, a num ber of devices
have to work t ogether.
● Your com put er connects t o your rout er wirelessly using your PC Card or PCI
Adapter.
● Your rout er connects t o your broadband cable m odem or DSL m odem using an
Ethernet cable.
● Your cable m odem or DSL m odem connects t o your I nternet Service Provider
( I SP) using your cable or phone net work.
The first step in solving t his problem is to diagnose the cause. There are a num ber of
places where t he connection from your com put er t o t he I nt ernet m ight fail.
First, check t he indicator lights of your various devices. I f one or m ore of t hese
devices indicate a problem , it's a good indication of where you should focus your
troubleshooting efforts.
Next , you can use the
I nternet Connection Diagnostic Utility. This ut ilit y is on t he
USRobotics I nstallat ion CD- ROM and can be used t o help determ ine why your I nternet
