You should cont act your I SP to get the full URL and then perform the
following steps:
N ot e : Linux users can perform steps 4 and 5 aft er opening a t erm inal.
1. Connect your broadband m odem directly t o one of your
com puters.
2. Perform t he ping com m and by clicking Windows St a r t and then
Run.
3. I n t he Run dialog box:
W indow s XP, 2 0 0 0 , a nd N T use r s: Type cm d.
W indow s M e , 9 8 , and 9 5 users: Type com m a nd.
4. All users should then ent er t he following com m and: ping xxx,
where x xx is the com plete URL for your I SP.
5. After you get t he I P address, ent er t he I P address in the m ail
server option or in t he address line of your Web browser.
