POWERSOURCES:This product shouldbeoperatedonly fromthetypeof powersourceindicatedon themarkinglabel.If youarenotsure ofthetypeof powersupplytoyour
home,consult your product dealer or local powercompany.
LOCATION:The applianceshould be installedin a stable location.
NON-USE PERIODS:Thepower cord ofthe appliance shouldbe unplugged fromthe outlet when left unused for along period oftime.
GROUNDING OR POLARIZATION:
•Ifthisproductisequippedwithapolarizedalternatingcurrentlineplug(aplughavingonebladewiderthantheother),itwillfitintotheout-
letonlyoneway.Thisisasafety feature. If you are unable toinsertthe plug fully into the outlet,tryreversingthe plug. If the plug shouldstill
failto fit, contact your electrician to replaceyour obsolete outlet.Do not defeatthe safety purpose of the polarized plug.
• If this product is equipped with a three-wire grounding type plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin, it will only fit into a grounding type
poweroutlet.Thisisa safety feature.Ifyouareunable to insert theplugintotheoutlet, contact yourelectriciantoreplaceyour obsolete out-
let.Do not defeat the safety purpose ofthe grounding typeplug.
POWER-CORDPROTECTION: Power-supply cords should be routed sothattheyarenotlikelytobe walked on or pinched by itemsplaceduponoragainstthem,payingpar-
ticularattention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the pointwhere they exitfrom the product.
OUTDOORANTENNA GROUNDING: If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide
some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges.Article 810 of the National Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPA70, provides information with regard to proper
grounding ofthemast andsupporting structure,groundingof thelead-in wiretoan antennadischarge unit,sizeof groundingconductors, locationofantenna-discharge unit,
connectionto grounding electrodes, and requirements for the grounding electrode. SeeFigure B.
LIGHTNING:For added protectionforthisproductduringa lightening storm,orwhenitisleft unattended andunusedforlongperiodsof time, unplugitfromthewall outlet and
disconnectthe antenna or cable system.This will prevent damage to the product due to lightening and power-line surges.
POWERLINES:An outsideantennasystem shouldnotbe locatedinthe vicinityofoverheadpowerlines or otherelectriclight orpowercircuits,
orwhereit can fall into suchpower lines or circuits. Wheninstalling an outside antenna system,extreme care should be takentokeep from
touchingsuch power lines or circuits as contactwith them mightbe fatal.
OVERLOADING:Donotoverloadwalloutlets,extensioncords,orintegralconveniencereceptaclesasthiscanresultina risk of fire or electric
shock.
OBJECTANDLIQUID ENTRY: Never push objects of anykindintothisproductthroughopeningsasthey may touch dangerous voltage points
orshort-out parts that could result in afire or electricshock. Neverspill liquid of any kind on the product.
SERVICING:Do notattempt toservicethisproductyourselfasopeningorremoving coversmay exposeyou todangerousvoltageorotherhaz-
ards.Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE: Unplug this productfrom the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified servicepersonnel under thefollowing conditions:
•When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged.
•If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen intothe product.
•If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
• If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjustonly those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper
adjustmentof other controls may result in damage and will oftenrequire extensive workby a qualified technician to restore the product to itsnormal operation.
•If the product has been dropped or damaged in anyway.
•When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, thisindicates a needfor service.
REPLACEMENT PARTS: When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same
characteristicsas the original part. Unauthorizedsubstitutions may result infire, electric shock,or other hazards.
SAFETYCHECK: Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the servicetechnician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in proper op-
eratingcondition.
WALLOR CEILING MOUNTING: The product should not be mounted to a wallor ceiling.
HEAT:Theproduct should be situated away from heatsources such asradiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products(including amplifiers) thatproduce heat.
