The 8x1 DVI KVM DL

witcher has 2 modes

EDID
:
1. The de

ault mode is the L

AL mode which will store the EDID o

a source
device
(
one

or each input
)
into the 8x1 DVI KVM DL
S
witcher. The EDID
s
tored in each L
OC
AL location can be
f
rom a local displa
y
device or
f
rom
a remote source over the R
S
-232 serial communications port. The 8x1 DVI
KVM DL
S
witcher also includes a built-in EDID memor
y
bank which can
s
tore up to 7 separate EDID data structures which can then be loaded to
e
ach o
f
the L
OC
AL EDID locations.
2. The second mode is the D

(
Down
S
tream
)
mode which

unctions as a

imple EDID pass-throu
g
h. In this mode, the displa

device connected to the
8
x1 DVI KVM DL
S
witcher will pass its EDID directl

to whichever DVI input

ource is currentl

selected. HDCP is supported in this mode only.
