9.5.10  Activate Remote Access 
Your phone lets you check your messages, or otherw ise operate your answering 
machine, by calling the answering machine w hen you are away from home by 
entering a 4-digit remote access PIN on a tone-dialing phone. Use the 4-digit 
remote access PIN code to prevent other people from unauthorized access of your 
answ ering machine. 
9.5.10.1  Change the 4-Digit Remote Access PIN 
Using a handset: 
1.  Press MENU/OK   and  / to select ANS. MACHINE. 
2.  Press   and  / to select TAM SETTINGS. 
3.  Press   and  / to select CHANGE  PIN. 
4.  Press   tw ice to enter the old PIN  (default remote access PIN is 0000). 
5.  Press   tw ice to enter the new  4-digit PIN. 
6.  Press   tw ice to enter the new  4-digit PIN again. 
NOTE: 
If the new  PIN entered in Step 6 is not matched w ith the new  system PIN entered in 
Step 5, user is requested to enter the valid system PIN again in Step 5. 
7.  Press   to reconfirm. 
Using the base: 
1.  Press MENU/OK and  / to select ANS. MACHINE. 
2.  Press MENU/OK and  / to select TAM SETTINGS. 
3.  Press MENU/OK and  / to select CHANGE  PIN. 
4.  Press MENU/OK and enter the old PIN  (default remote access PIN is 0000). 
5.  Press MENU/OK and enter your new  4-digit PIN. 
6.  Press MENU/OK and enter your new  4-digit PIN again. 
7.  Press MENU/OK to confirm.
