Cooking to these temperatures usually protects against foodborne illness. SURFACE COOKING UNITS Use proper pan size—select cookware having flat bottoms large enough to cover the surface unit heating element.

EDIT mode lasts several seconds after the last pad press. START TIME ON/OFF and COOKING TIME ON/OFF will be the only pads lit if either of these options is selected.

Troubleshooting Tips Consumer Support The shelves have stop-locks, so that when placed correctly on the shelf supports (A through F), they will stop before coming completely out, and will not tilt. When placing and removing cookware, pull the shelf out to the bump on the shelf support.
Do not latch the oven door during broiling. The latch is used for self-cleaning only. How to Set the Oven for Broiling Touch the BROIL HI/LO pad once for HI Broil. Follow suggested shelf positions in the Broiling Guide. To change to LO Broil, touch the BROIL HI/LO pad again. If your range is connected to 208 volts, rare steaks may be broiled by preheating the broiler and positioning the oven shelf one position higher. Touch the START pad. When broiling is finished, touch the CLEAR/OFF pad.
Safety Instructions Not all features are on all models. To Set the Clock The clock must be set to the correct time of day for the automatic oven timing functions to work properly. The time of day cannot be changed during a delayed cooking or a delayed self-cleaning cycle. Touch the CLOCK pad twice. Touch the + or – pads. Make sure the clock is set to the correct time of day.

NOTE: Foods that spoil easily—such as milk, eggs, fish, stuffings, poultry and pork—should not be allowed to sit for more than 1 hour before or after cooking. Room temperature promotes the growth of harmful bacteria. Be sure that the oven light is off because heat from the bulb will speed harmful bacteria growth. The special feature modes can only be activated while the display is showing the time of day. They remain in the control’s memory until the steps are repeated. Remove the broiler pan, broiler grid, all cookware and any aluminum foil from the oven. NOTE: ■ If your oven is equipped with shiny, silver-colored oven shelves, remove them before you begin the self-cleaning cycle. ■ If your oven is equipped with gray porcelain-coated oven shelves, they may be left in the oven during the self-cleaning cycle.
How to Delay the Start of Cleaning (on some models) Make sure the clock shows the correct time of day. Latch the door. Touch the SELF CLEAN pad. Using the + or – pads, enter the desired clean time. If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tip device is re-engaged properly when the range is replaced. Failure to take this precaution could result in tipping of the range and cause injury. Carefully grasp a corner of the protective shipping film with your fingers and slowly peel it from the appliance surface. Do not use any sharp items to remove the film.
Oven Shelves If your oven is equipped with shiny, silver-colored oven shelves, they should be removed from the oven before beginning the self-cleaning cycle. Clean with an abrasive cleanser or plastic scrubbing pad. After cleaning, rinse the shelves with clean water and dry with a clean cloth. Cleaning the Oven Door To clean the inside of the door: ■ Because the area inside the gasket is cleaned during the self-cleaning cycle, you do not need to clean this by hand. ■ The area outside the gasket and the door liner can be cleaned with a soap-filled or plastic scouring pad, hot water and detergent. Rinse well with a vinegar and water solution. ■ If any stain on the door vent trim is persistent, use a soft abrasive cleaner and a sponge-scrubber for best results.
Safety Instructions Operating Instructions Oven Light Replacement CAUTION: Before replacing your oven light bulb, disconnect the electrical power to the range at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel. Be sure to let the light cover and bulb cool completely. Wire cover holder. To remove the cover: To replace the cover: Place it into groove of the light receptacle. Pull wire forward to the center of the cover until it snaps into place. Connect electrical power to the range.
Be sure the controls are turned to OFF and the surface units are cool before attempting to remove them. Surface Drip unit pan Surface Units To clean the surface units, turn the control to the highest setting for a minute. The coils will burn off any soil. To remove a surface unit: When properly seated, the locking tab should lock onto the cooktop rim through the notch in the drip pan. To remove the drip pans for cleaning, the surface units must be removed first.

Oven will not work Plug on range is not completely inserted in the electrical outlet. • Make sure electrical plug is plugged into a live, properly grounded outlet.
