ESD Types
There are three configurations of the SVI II ESD available:
ASD 2-wire Analog Trip - Single pair of 4-20 mA twisted pair signal cable
installation, with superimposed HART communication. Connected to
Safety System AO card.
DSD 2-wire Discrete Trip - Single pair of 0/24 VDC cable installation, with
superimposed HART communication. Connected to Safety System
DO card.
A/DSD 4-wire Discrete Trip - Single pair of 4-20 mA twisted pair signal cable
installation, with superimposed HART communication. Connected to
Safety or Control System AO card.
AND
Single pair of 0/24 VDC cable installation. Connected to Safety Sys-
tem DO card.
