3U VPX Starter Cage The SCVPX3U is a five-slot 3U VPX starter enclosure addressing the requirements of VPX development. By using this as a development system, the integrator can significantly
reduce time-to-market by developing the application on the actual system hardware while the final “rugged” system is being manufactured in parallel.

The 6U OpenVPX CUDA Starter Kit provides system integrators with a complete application development platform supporting multiple GPGPU configurations. Customers can
order a single part number and start development and testing on GE's latest IPN250 single board computer with onboard Intel Core2 Duo processor and NVIDIA GT240 GPU.

Development Chassis
The 6U OpenVPX Development Chassis is a rack-mountable lab chassis designed to support fast prototyping of multi-board 6U OpenVPX systems. The starter chassis provides
a four-slot uncommitted backplane, ATX power supply, four hard-disk drives and variable speed fans. Each pay load slot is routed to a dedicated fabric interface routing the P1
data, and P2 expansion planes to rear transition modules. In addition, each pay load slot provides a direct interface to the P3 to P6 user I/O of the processor card via its own rear
transition module. This innovative concept enables a variety of multi-board/multi-node processor configurations during system design and applications development. Multiple
architectures can be defined and demonstrated with GE's deployable COTS boards to identify optimal configurations even before decisions are made about the SWaP profile of
the final platform. The development chassis can accomodate a range of GE's COTS processor and I/O modules, including our latest OpenVPX Intel, NVIDIA and high speed fabric
switch cards.
Our 3U and 6U VPX starter kits are available for quick and easy start up of CUDA-based systems, either for
evaluation and benchmarking or to develop a specific application. They provide system integrators with a
complete applications development platform supporting multiple GPGPU configurations.

controllers (NICs) and switch fabrics to provide best-in-class high performance embedded computing (HPEC)
capabilities. Serial switched fabrics provide the interprocess communication (IPC) backbone for the latest
COTS modules in various form factors including the VITA41 (VXS) and VITA65 (OpenVPX) standards. High
performance computing (HPC) architectures depend on fabrics such as PCIe, 10Gigabit Ethernet, Infiniband
and Serial RapidIO (sRIO) and Starfabric supporting system scaling and I/O to address the demands of todays’
24/7, always-on, information age and GE-IP supports these architectures with a family of rugged, deployable
switch fabric modules (SFMs) and software such as our AXIS Advanced Multiprocessor Integrated Software
under a variety of operating systems.
