DefrostingTips
Foods ti'ozen in paper or plastic can be
defi'osted in the package. Closed packages
should be slit, pierced or vented AFTER
fi)od has partially defrosted. Plastic storage
containers should be partially tmcovered.
Family-size, prepackaged frozen dinnet_
can be deii'osted and inicrowaved. If the
f0od is in a fi)il contninet; transfer it to a
microwave-sat_" dish.
Foods that spoil easily should not be
allowed to sit out fin" more than one

Bread, buns, or rolls (I piece) 1/4 rain.
Sweet rolls (approx. 12 oz.) 2 to 4 rain. Rearrange alter half the time.
Fish and Seafood
Fillets, frozen (I lb.) 6 to 9 mha.
Shellfish, smallpieces (I lb.) 3 to 7 rain. Place block in casserole. Turn over and break up after half the tittle.
