Usingthe oven.
Toavoid possible bums, place the shelves in the desired position before you turn the oven on.
The oven has 6 shelf positions.
Before you begin...
Tile sheh'es hme stop-locks, so that \dmn
placed con'ecfly on tile shelf supports (A
fllrougb F), tile} will stop befi)m corrdng
c()mpletely out, and will not tilt.
_\l/en placing and removing cook_tre,
pull tile shelf out to the bump on tile shelf
support.
Toremovea shelf,pull it tankard }_m, flit tile
fi'ont end up and pull it out.
Toreplace, place tile end of the shelf
(stop-locks) on the support, tilt up tile fi'ont
and push tile shelf in.
CAUTION:Whenyouare,usingthesheffinthebwest
position(A),youwillneedtousecautionwhenpulling
theshelfout.Werecommendthatyoupulltheshe/f
outseveralinchesandthen,usingtwopotholders,pull
theshelfoutbyholdingthesidesof it.Theshelfislow
andyoucouldbeburnedif youplaceyourhandinthe
middleoftheshe/fandpullallthewayout.Bevery
carefulnottoburnyourhandonthedoorwhenusing
theshelfinthe/owestposition(,4).
How to Set the Oven for Baking or Roasting
Yourovenisnotdes&ed foropen-doorcooking.
[] Touch tile BAKE pad.
[] Touch the + or - pads until tile
desired temperature is displayed.
[] Touch the START/ONpad.
Tile oxen will start automaficall}. The display
will sho_ PrE\Jlile preheating. When tile
o_en reaches the selecmd temperature, file
o_.en corm'el will beep sea,era] tirnes and the
diN)lay will sho_ the oven mmperatm>.
TochangetheoventemperatureduringBAKEcycle,
touchtheBAKEpadandthenthe+ or- paristo get
thenewtemperature.

[] Touch tile CLEAR/OFFpad when baking
is finished and then remoxe the food

Do not place foods directly on the
oven floor.
Preheating and Pan Placement
Preheat tile oven if tile recipe calls fi)r it.
Preheating is necessary fl)r good results
when baking cakes, cookies, past_ T and
breads.

approxlmate/y15-20minutes.
Baking results will be better if baking
pans are centered in the oven as much
as possible. If baking with more titan one
pan, place the pans so each has at least
1" to 1½" of air space around it.
If baking fiiur cake layeI_ at the same time,
[)lace t_l layers on rack B and two layem on
rack D. Stagger pans on dye rack so one is
not ctirect b above the other:

Aluminum Foil
Nevercovertheovenbottomwitha/uminurnfoi/.
Ym can use _fluminum foil to lille die broiler
pan and broiler grid. Ho_\e*; you must
mold tile tbil tightly to the grid and cut slits in
it just like the grid.
Aluminum foil max also be used to catch a
spillo_ex: To do so, place a small sheet of Jail
on a lo_r shel£ several inches belo_ the toed.
Ne\er entirely co\er a shelf with aluminum
toil. Tills will disturb the heat circulation and
result in poor baking.
