Telephone operation

To initiate an intercom during a call

You can intercom with another system device (either the telephone

base or cordless handset) during a call, or invite another system device

to join.

Using a cordless handset

1. Press del/int during a call.

• If your telephone system has only one handset registered, the

intercom call will be automatically directed to the telephone base.

• If your telephone system has more than one handset registered,

press / to select the desired handset or select BASE to

intercom the telephone base, and then press .

The call is placed on hold while the intercom is established with the

other handset.

2. Press to answer the intercom on the other handset.

-OR-

Lift the telephone base or press to answer the intercom on the

telephone base.

NOTE: The intercom call can be canceled before it is answered by pressing del/int on the

originating handset.

3. You can choose from one of the following options for this intercom

call.

• Press and hold del/int to connect both devices to the external call.

• Press del/int on the originating handset to alternate between the

intercom and the external call.

• Press on either handset to terminate the intercom on that

handset. The call will continue on the other handset.

Using the telephone base

1. Press during a call.

• If your telephone system has only one handset registered, the

intercom call will be automatically directed to the cordless handset.
